Chile
Chile lies to the west of Argentina and stretches nearly 3000 miles from end to end, yet it is never more than 70 miles wide. The mighty Andes dominate the country's eastern flank, whilst to the west there is the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean. Hemmed in on all fronts it is easy to see why so many people view Chile as a true wilderness destination.
Horses are the most practical means to explore this pristine wilderness. The varied terrain dictates the pace, but there is normally some fast riding over open country and walking and trotting over more difficult terrain.
