Chile lies to the west of Argentina and stretches nearly 3000 miles from end to end, yet it is never more than 70 miles wide. The mighty Andes dominate the country's eastern flank, whilst to the west there is the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean. Hemmed in on all fronts it is easy to see why so many people view Chile as a true wilderness destination.
