Horse Riding Holidays in India
The princely state of Rajasthan, formerly Rajputana, offers so much variety in terms of history, culture, wildlife and scenery. Historically one of India's most affluent regions, Rajasthan's rich and colourful heritage holds an array of splendid ancient forts and magnificent palaces, many of which are finely decorated with frescoes depicting scenes of the past. Add the proud tradition of the famous Marwari horses and one has a fascinating setting for a number of memorable rides.
Experience the full spectrum of life from the acacia scrublands and Thar Desert where rural subsistence farmers seek a meagre living to the vast estates of former maharajas that have stamped their mark with many architectural marvels. Two of our rides combine with famous fairs and festivals and, depending on the ride, include visits to the bustling towns of Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Delhi and Agra.
