Mongolia
Mongolia's pristine natural environment makes it one of the last places that can truly satisfy the rider's quest for freedom and the great outdoors. Vast rolling grasslands, azure blue lakes and snow-capped peaks all combine to give the visitor a rare chance to enter a nomadic world far removed from the strains of modern life.
Each of our three rides take small groups into the remotest regions of Mongolia. Explore the forests and valleys of Zavkhan on horseback or ride into the Altai Mountains on the border with China before visiting the Eagle Festival. Originally started in order to help preserve ancient Kazakh traditions such as archery, camel racing, tug-of-war with a dead goat, and of course hunting with eagles the festival is a fantastic two days where local people show off their skills and dress up in their finest traditional outfits.
