Galapagas Islands

This unique archipelago is situated on the Equator and lies about 950 kilometres from mainland Ecuador. Darwin first made the islands famous in the nineteenth century. The islands are home to an abundance of animals, with most islands having a 'speciality' to show visitors. An incredible experience at any time of year, an eight day cruise will allow you the opportunity to experience most of the Galapagos highlights although shorter cruises are possible. You can choose from small luxury yachts to large luxury cruise ships and motor yachts - there is an option suitable for all.

Amazon Rain Forest

Almost half of Ecuadorian territory is covered by rainforest, one of the most bio-diverse areas in the world and one of the most easily accessed areas of rainforest on the continent. It is estimated that over seven percent of the world's species find refuge in the Amazon basin. The lodges we offer our guests have been chosen for the combination of primary rain forest location, a good chance of seeing rainforest fauna and the quality of the guiding, as well as ensuring certain standards of accommodation and catering. The minimum stay for an Amazon tour is two days, but we recommend stays of five days and four nights to fully appreciate and experience this incredible place. We can arrange stays at several lodges, from a non-for profit jungle lodge to some first-class jungle lodges for experiencing the Amazon while maintaining creature comforts.

Andean Cloud Forest Lodges

Situated on the coastal slopes of the Andes, the Ecuadorian cloud forest is a forest of a different bio-diversity to the Amazon. A Birdlife International designated area of international importance, the region is home to an incredible variety of birds, orchids, bromeliads and epiphytes ("air-plants"). Larger animals such as wildcats and spectacled bears have been sited on several occasions in the private valley reserve (this is one option we offer our guests). This retreat is nestled in 400 hectare of private land and all accommodation is in very proper, non-bamboo constructed buildings with private bathrooms and use of a large swimming pool and Jacuzzi. We also offer stays in a more modestly priced, rustic lodge with a wide variety of still comfortable accommodation. Although day trips to this area are possible, we recommend special three day, two night packages with visits on the transfers out of and into Quito.
