Riding and Wine in Bordeaux

This unique ride enables you to visit many of the finest vineyards and picturesque villages in the Bordeaux region, sampling fine wines and experiencing the areas rich culture along the way. Ride through Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards, visit the majestic Citadelle of Blaye and taste the fine Cote de Blaye wine.
Day 1 (D)
Make your own way to Bordeaux, France, for a 1 night stay at the Hotel Bernt.
Day 2 to Day 7 (B,L,D)
This unique ride enables you to visit many of the finest vineyards and picturesque villages in the Bordeaux region, sampling fine wines and experiencing the areas rich culture along the way. Ride through Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards, visit the majestic Citadelle of Blaye and taste the fine Cote de Blaye wine. Continue to the Cote de Bourg, Bordeaux Superieur, and Fronsac vineyards, to the charming town of Libourne. Chateau Bellegrave, the medieval town of Saint Emilion and the village of Branne are next on the agenda, followed by the 13th Century Castle of Rauzan and the old village of Cadillac, where you may taste the Premieres Cotes de Bordeaux. Ride through the vineyards of Graves, and Sauternes before spending your final night in the town of Sauternes itself.
Day 8 (B)
Transfer to Bordeaux for your onward journey.

  • The Accommodation: Comfortable guesthouses and hotels. Your luggage is transferred by vehicle.
  • Food & Drink: France is renowned for the quality of its food and you won't be disappointed. Mainly local and regional cuisine. Wine is served with meals.
  • Non-Riders: Non riders are welcome. You can either chose to drive yourself or we can arrange for a chauffeur driven vehicle. Non riders will be able to participate in the chateau visits and meet up for lunches and overnight accommodation.
