Tanque Verde Ranch is located in the lush desert foothills of the Rincon Mountains, adjacent to the Saguaro National Park and Coronado National Forest. Miles of scenic horseback riding and hiking trails offer ranch guests the opportunity to explore the rugged and unique Sonoran desert of the Old West. The pristine Sonoran desert, which surrounds the ranch, is teeming with wildlife such as coyotes, javelinas, mountain lions, bobcats, mule deer and an array of birds and reptiles. While secluded and surrounded by natural desert, the ranch is just minutes from all that Tucson has to offer in the way of shopping and sightseeing.

The riding at Tanque Verde is ideal for riders of all abilities and ages with beginner and advanced lessons in western riding included in the cost. Riding is available every day with the pace depending on the rider's ability. There are all day rides as well as shorter picnic rides and breakfast rides. While the main emphasis is on fantastic and varied horseback riding, Tanque Verde also offers a wide variety of outdoor activities, ensuring that non-riders are well catered for. There are numerous guided hiking and mountain biking trails of various levels of difficulty, five tennis courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and several basketball and volleyball courts. After a long day in the saddle you may want to relax in the wonderful health facilities where one may enjoy the saunas and indoor and outdoor spas. Soothing massage and facial and body treatments are available at extra cost, while a round of golf on a championship course is also available nearby.

Day 1.
You will be met and transferred from Tucson airport to Tanque Verde Ranch - check in and freshen up before dinner and your first nights stay. (D)
Day 2 to Day 7
During the next 6 days you are free to choose from a wide variety of activities available at Tanque Verde Ranch.

There isn't a set itinerary to keep to, so each day can be tailored to suit your needs. Riding is offered every day of the week, and there are different options suitable for all abilities. Specialty rides offer added variety and adventure to the regular schedule - Breakfast Rides up to the Old Homestead for a cowboy breakfast are scheduled at least twice a week, and should not be missed. All day rides are offered weekly and feature a 6-hour ride with a lunch out on the trail in the mountains behind the ranch. This is a great way to experience the true desert of the Old West! Beginner or advanced riding lessons and horsemanship classes are also offered daily.

There are also plenty of activities to enjoy when not riding - you may want to explore the various hiking and mountain biking trails or take advantage of the other facilities on offer such as the indoor and outdoor swimming pools and spas, basketball and volleyball and tennis courts, massage and body treatments or the local golf course. After breakfast you will be transferred back to Tucson airport for your homeward flight. (B)
