ABOUT THE RIDING

Style of Riding.English.

Type of Riding: Trail-Ride - The pace is dictated by the terrain. Apart from walking and trotting, expect long canters over sandy terrain.

Type of Tack: The saddles used are traditional Jordanian saddles, with thick blankets on top to aid rider comfort, English or Pakistani style . They are all well fitting and have sufficient padding underneath to prevent pinching or saddles sores. Saddlebags are provided. Bridles may be English or traditional and reins may be leather or rope.Jordan

Hours in the Saddle: 5 to 6 hours a day.

Riding Ability Required: Intermediate upwards. Good riding ability is important. Guests should be comfortable at all paces.

Maximum Weight: 90kgs (14st).

Number of Guides per Ride: 1 to every group of riders..

Minimum/Maximum number of riders in group: 5/10

Looking after the horse: You are expected to tack up and help look after your horse.

ABOUT THE HORSES

The horses are all Arabian mares, well schooled and familiar with the desert. The overall condition and appearance of the horses reflects the care taken for them. La Bedouin Tours works closely with the Brooke Hospital and every endeavour is made to ensure that the horses are kept in good condition.
