ABOUT THE HORSES

Southern Cross Horse Treks (who own Kerewong) uses well schooled, Australian pure and part bred Arabian horses, including Arab-Quarterhorse crosses, carefully selected and trained for long distance trail riding. Many of the horses were bred specifically for endurance riding and complete endurance rides regularly. They range in height from 14.2hh to 15.3hh and are sure-footed, good-natured and in excellent condition. They are kept in groupings in large paddocks on the 60 acre property.
