ABOUT THE RIDING
Style of Riding: English..
Type of Riding: Trail-Ride - The pace is dictated by the terrain. Apart from much walking and trotting, expect long canters over sandy terrain.
Type of Tack: The tack is English style Indian Army saddlery. Saddle bags are provided.
Hours in the Saddle: 4 to 6 hours a day.
Riding Ability Required: Intermediate upwards. Good riding ability is important. Guests should be comfortable at all paces.
Maximum Weight: 85kgs (13st7lbs).
Number of Guides per Ride: 1 to every group of riders plus grooms.
Minimum/Maximum number of riders in group: 8/14. At times the ride may exceed 14 guests, in which case the ride will be divided into 2 and a distance will be kept between the 2 groups.
Looking after the horse: You are not expected to groom or tack up but you are welcome to assist.
ABOUT THE HORSES
The herd of 45 horses plus horses includes Marwari and Marwari crosses. They range between 15hh and 16hh. The horses are all well schooled, responsive and reliable. These horses come from the stables at Dundlod Castle the largest Marwari stud farm in India.
