What to Pack
The Keiwa Valley enjoys a warm temperate climate, with four distinct seasons. The tour season is planned to operate in the summer and autumn months. Day time temperatures in the summer are generally in the 25-35 degree celsius range. Night time temperatures are cool.
Please note that in the mountain camps above 5000 feet, the days and are nights are up to 10 degrees celsius cooler. Summer blizzards do happen occasionally, so be prepared. A tight knit jumper or good quality polar fleece and thermal underwear provide that extra insulation when needed.
Your clothes will need to be packed in stuff bags provided by Bogong. Your sleeping bag will be packed in a canvas roll (also supplied by Bogong). It is important that you are mindful of the weight and keep your packing to the minimum. A 4WD will meet you mid tour, so take an overnight bag with a change of clothes. Your main baggage may be stored at the homestead.
