What to Pack

Summer temperatures can top 35 degrees Celsius, however nights tend to be cool and can be cold.

  • Swimming Costume
  • Jodhpurs or long trousers.
  • Short riding boots or cowboy boots.
  • Half chaps or full chaps.
  • Long sleeved shirt and/or T shirts,
  • Warm clothing/Fleece.
  • Gloves.
  • Waterproof/windproof jacket and trousers.
  • Sun hat that stays on or a cowboy hat with stampede strings.
  • Casual clothes for evening.
  • Trainers or comfortable shoes for evening.
  • Head torch
  • Personal toiletries.
  • Sun block.
  • Lip balm.
  • Camera, film, batteries and binoculars.

Riding hats are not mandatory. However, we strongly recommend that you always ride in a hat and that it conforms to BHS requirements (PAS015, BSEN1384). Riding without a hat could affect a claim on insurance.
