What to Pack
The Post-monsoon period is from October to December. The average maximum temperature is 33C to 38C, and the minimum is between 18C and 20C.
Although dress in the evenings is informal some people prefer to dress up a little at the better hotels.
- Swimming Costume
- Jodhpurs or riding trousers.
- Short riding boots or ride/walk boots such as Ariat Terrain.
- Half chaps.
- Long sleeved shirt and/or T shirts,
- Fleece.
- Gloves.
- Underwear - cycling shorts are ideal for long days in the saddle.
- Thermal wear for camping nights. It can get cold at night.
- Waterproof/windproof jacket.
- Sun hat.
- Casual clothes for non-riding days and evenings.
- Trainers or comfortable shoes for evening.
- Bandana or scarf for protection against dust.
- Head torch
- Personal toiletries.
- Sun block.
- Lip balm.
- Sunglases.
- Camera, film, batteries and binoculars.
Riding hats are not mandatory. However, we strongly recommend that you always ride in a hat and that it conforms to BHS requirements (PAS015, BSEN1384). Riding without a hat could affect a claim on insurance.
