What to Pack

Be prepared for all sorts of weather, including rain. Layers are ideal and make sure you pack waterprooofs and rubber boots.
  • Riding hat. Your hat should conform to BHS requirements (PAS015, BSEN1384). You will not be permitted to ride without a hat
  • Jodhpurs or long riding trousers.
  • Short riding boots or ride/walk boots such as Ariat Terrain and/or rubber riding boots.
  • Half chaps
  • Long sleeved shirt and/or T shirts,
  • Warm clothing/Fleece.
  • Underwear. Thermal underwear is good if it turns cold. Cycling shorts are good for long days in the saddle.
  • Waterproof/windproof jacket and trousers.
  • Gloves.
  • Casual clothes for evening.
  • Trainers or comfortable shoes for evening.
  • Head torch
  • Personal toiletries.
  • Sun block.
  • Lip balm.
  • Camera, film and batteries.
