What to Pack

The best time for game-viewing is probably during the dry winter months. Day-time temperatures should be in the mid-twenties, but evenings, nights and early mornings can be very cold. Layers that can easily be aded or removed are therefore recommended.

Autumn (March, April) and Spring (September and October) can be much warmer and although rain is unlikely, can occur.

We strongly recommend the use of neutral-colour clothing (khaki, brown, beige and green) that blends in with the bush (no brightly coloured or white clothing).

Please note that your luggage should weigh no more than 12kgs for the light aircraft flight. Luggage may be stored at the Okavango Horse Safaris office in Maun.
