What to Pack

The fairs of Rajistan occur after the monsoon rains. Night temperatures can fall below zero degrees and early mornings and evenings can be chilly.

Although dress in the evenings is informal some people prefer to dress up a little at the better hotels.

  • Swimming Costume
  • Jodhpurs or riding trousers.
  • Short riding boots or ride/walk boots such as Ariat Terrain.
  • Half chaps.
  • Long sleeved shirt and/or T shirts,
  • Fleece.
  • Warm jacket.
  • Gloves.
  • Underwear - cycling shorts are ideal for long days in the saddle.
  • Thermal wear for camping nights.
  • Waterproof/windproof jacket.
  • Sun hat.
  • Casual clothes for non-riding days and evenings.
  • Trainers or comfortable shoes for evening.
  • Bandana or scarf for protection against dust.
  • Head torch
  • Personal toiletries.
  • Sun block.
  • Lip balm.
  • Sunglases.
  • Camera, film, batteries and binoculars.

Riding hats are not mandatory. However, we strongly recommend that you always ride in a hat and that it conforms to BHS requirements (PAS015, BSEN1384). Riding without a hat could effect a claim on insurance.
